Since 1999, Agrodulce has become a Germantown favorite for Italian food. The comfortable atmosphere and the friendly staff are often talking points among Agrodulce regulars, but the creative, gourmet food is the real star of the show.
Seafood lovers will salivate just reading the description of the Risotto Pescatore, which contains shrimp, mussels, bay scallops, roasted peppers, peas, and achiote. A long list of wood fired pizzas includes tasty options such as Arugula Pesto, barbecue chicken, and portobello. Duck confit is one of the signature dishes at Agrodulce, in which the duck is cooked for 6 to 7 hours for a tender and savory final result.
A variety of local craft beers are on tap at Agrodulce, many of which pair nicely with the selection of unique menu items. Mondays are half price wine night, and carry-out pizzas are buy one, get one half off on Tuesdays. The desserts — such as the Lemon Semifredo with toasted almonds and raspberry sauce — make for a perfect end to a meal, or a reason to visit Agrodulce in themselves.
