Over the last two decades, vendors, farmers and artisans have been gathering at the Lancaster County Dutch Market in Germantown to sell their wares. The market takes its name from the Pennsylvania region that’s home to many of the Amish farms, bakeries, and carpentry shops where the items sold in the Lancaster County Dutch Market are produced.
When you arrive at the market you’ll find yourself surrounded by stalls of all kinds: stop by the butcher to pick up some grass-fed beef or home-cured bacon, or head over to the bakery for fruit pies, fresh bread, and plenty of frosted cookies. Barbecue stands, furniture stores, floral shops, and pretzel vendors are just a few of the other things you’ll find at the market, so be sure you give yourself plenty of time to wander around and check out the whole place. A word to the wise: head to the website before your visit and you’re likely to find a few coupons that will save you some cash.
